People come first here.
My name is Elvira Billmann. I came to Germany from Kazakhstan as an ethnic German resettler 38 years ago. That is why I understand the worries, fears and challenges that come with starting a new life. The beginning was not easy for me either.
Today, I look back with gratitude on 45 years of professional experience and more than 20 years as the managing director and head of a language school. Twenty-three years ago, I co-founded the Elvida language school in Nuremberg. We later opened its branch in Fürth, which I still manage today. Since December 2025, we have continued on our own path as Elvira Billmann Sprach- und Integrationszentrum GmbH & Co. KG.
Over the years, I have learned one important thing: learning German is about much more than language. It is about becoming independent, managing everyday life and finding the confidence to build your own future in Germany.
Here, you are never just a number. We take time for you, support you with care and experience, and are always ready to offer practical help and advice.
A warm welcome to you. We look forward to supporting you on your journey.
Questions people often ask.
It’s normal to have questions before you start. Here are the ones we hear most — and you can always just ask us the rest.
I don’t speak any German yet. Can I still start?
Yes. Many people start with us from zero. We speak slowly and explain everything in simple words. If it helps, some members of our team can also speak your language. We speak German, English, Romanian, Turkish, Farsi, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Arabic, Spanish and Azerbaijani. You are very welcome — just as you are.
How much does a course cost?
That depends on your situation. You may be eligible for funding. We can quickly check this with you and help you with the application.
I’m not sure I’m allowed to join. Can you help me find out?
Yes. You do not need to understand the rules yourself. Tell us a little about your situation, and we will check what support you may be entitled to and which course is right for you.
Can I talk to you in English?
Yes, of course. You can write or call us in English. Some members of our team also speak Romanian, Turkish, Farsi, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Arabic, Spanish and Azerbaijani. We answer your questions and explain the next steps calmly and clearly.
